The Pleasure Spot was established in 1993 by Jo-Anne Baker and became the first mail-order business in Australia which focused on women's and couples sexuality. The philosophy it established was different from what had gone before because it moved away from the 'male model', as it introduced a sensual approach to pleasure.
The Pleasure Spot researched a new range of products from US, Europe and Asia. Courses and Individual sessions were designed to address a sex-positive approach to the body.
Thousand and thousands of Australians have contacted the Pleasure Spot to purchase books and videos, as well as having their intimate questions answered, in confidentiality. It has also gained recognition and support from the Medical and Healing Professions by it's educational approach.
It's main motto is to help people to explore, learn and have lots of fun on their sensual sexual journey. 'As I Receive Pleasure so the Whole Universe Receives Pleasure Through Me.'
